God will use what you give him. It’s true.
We hear preachers and pastors all the time who tell us about their misspent youth.
Drugs, alcohol, pornography, etc… God uses all of these things from their past to lead people to him.
A pastor who has never sinned can not truly understand or empathize with sinners.
God has a path for each of us. We don’t always follow that path. Does God’s plan stop or wait when we stray off the path? No.
God uses things along your path to bring you back to his.
And please do not misunderstand this. God’s path is not always easy but God uses adversity to show us a true appreciation for comfort.
God uses struggle to show us how to truly appreciate a clear path. God uses non-believers to show us an appreciation for fellowship.
And the most important thing to remember is this: no matter what we go through, on his path or our own, God wants us to lean on him. Not for selfish reasons but because he knows that he can make our burden lighter. By leaning on him, the path is easier to walk. No matter what barriers are ahead of us, we can count on God to lift us over them.
So ask yourself this. With the storms this life brings, do you want to handle them on your own? Wouldn’t you rather be able to lean on God, let him help you through them?
May God bless you this day and all the days of your life.
