Hello all. And welcome to my Homeschool blog.

A bit about me. I began homeschooling five years ago. Initially it was because my son is very energetic and artistic and I didn’t want any of that to be squashed in a busy, crowded classroom. Now, he’s doing so well and loves it so much, I would never consider anything else.

Three years ago my daughter joined us and she says she never wants to go to “regular school”. I am so blessed to be able to make this choice for my family and I really do believe it is the best choice for everyone but would never want anyone to homeschool because they feel pressured into it. That would not make a good environment for anyone.

I am a single mom, a writer, a drinker of coffee, an avid reader and I’m learning to quilt.

I am also a recent NaNoWriMo winner!

Yes…I’m a little excited!

It’s my first year participating so I’m especially excited to have won!

  1. Wow. When do you homeschool?! 😉
I am so glad, for your sake, you’ve seen the beauty of teaching your own children, yourself! I know that feeling when you look around and decide never, never, never to go back. Mmm! :
