Because, amazingly enough, I can’t do everything…

I know. It was a shock to me too.

Oh well. I never said I was wonder woman.

Anyway… to that end, I am doing something a little bit crazy. I am merging my blogs. When all is said and done, I plan to have only five to keep track of – instead of 11. YEESH!

It will probably take a few weeks to accomplish and after that, I plan to keep the old ones active for a couple months before I shut them off but then I will just delete them.

I’m tired and I really need to slim down my tasks.

So – this is what I will be left with to keep track of.

MOST Uplifting Blog award – Didn’t expect this one.

My good friend Donna turned this thing around on me and nominated two of my blogs. THANKS DONNA!

Most Uplifting Blogger Award  How this works:

  • Nominate at least 7 (more if you like) blogs for the award. (They MUST be uplifting in SOME WAY. They don’t have to be religious – just uplifting)
  • Write a post telling us who you’ve nominated and…
  • Tell us 7 things you are Thankful about/for! (Again, doesn’t have to be religious – most anything will do)
  • Make sure you let the bloggers know they’re nominated.
  • Wear your badge with pride (Post it somewhere on your blog)

And that’s it!

7 more nominees: YOU Bloggers are AMAZING!

I hope you find some blogs among this list that will inspire and lift you up!

7 things I’m thankful for (Much easier than 7 things about myself by the way):

  1. I am Thankful to have discovered home-schooling!
  2. I am Thankful for COFFEE!
  3. I am Thankful for educational videos!
  4. I am Thankful for our play room!
  5. I am Thankful we live near so many wonderful museums and parks.
  6. I am Thankful to find opportunities to “school” in so many places and situations!
  7. I am Thankful to have such a wonderful God who entrusted these beautiful children to me!

HAVE FUN with it!

WOW! A Blog award. How exciting.

versatile-blogger-award21I have been nominated for my second Blog Award but my first on this blog!

I’ve only been blogging since mid/late summer of this year so it’s very surprising that I’m getting so much attention!

I really didn’t think anyone was paying that much attention.

But apparently they were…

This time the award comes from my good friend over at
Donna’s Bookshelf. THANKS Donna!

And… now I get to find 15 more bloggers!

YEESH! I’m kidding. It’s totally worth it!

Here are the rules for the award:

  • Display the Award Certificate on your blog.
  • Write a post and link back to the blogger who nominated you.
  • Nominate 15 other bloggers.
  • Inform them of their nomination via comment on their blog.
  • Post 7 interesting things about yourself.

My nominations for The Versatile Blogger’s Award are:

And because I’m lazy, I’m going to share the same 7 things about myself. It was hard enough to come up with 7 random things about myself to begin with. LOL!

1. I am a writer, a mom, a homeschooler and I LOVE to read!

2. I talk too much, always have. And now that I’m a mother who is home all day with her two young children, I tend to talk people’s ears off when I have the chance. (PLEASE tell me I’m not the only SAHM/WAHM/TAHM who does that…)

3. I LOVE the flashlight feature on my iPhone. It saves me from stepping on hair clips and Lego blocks on my way to bed or to the bathroom in the middle of the night…most of the time anyway.

4. I enjoy coffee but I’m very particular about brand/flavor/roast and what I put in it of course. My current favorite combination is Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice K-Cups with Coffee-Mate Pumpkin Spice creamer.

5. I am fascinated by Ireland and all things Irish. I want so desperately to buy a castle in Ireland with a moat and a tower and a warren of secret passages.

6. I pray that I will never have to hunt for a literary agent again. My hope is that when God’s timing is right, he will send the agent to me and that way, I will know it is God’s time. I know it sounds like I don’t want to do the work involved in searching for an agent but that’s not it at all. I’m no stranger to hard work. I am simply trusting my future to God’s time and God’s will. He gave me this talent and I believe he has a plan for it and I feel very strongly that he is moving me slowly toward the place I need to be. And when everything is in place, he will move me yet again.

7. I enjoy being home with my children. I am not one of those moms who needs a vacation from their kids. They give me more than enough down-time when they’re in the playroom. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I went on a vacation without them and I truly hope that if I ever do end up on a book-tour that it works out for the family to join me!

THANK YOU AGAIN Donna for the nomination! You’re awesome!
